Dr. Ronald V. Clarke

Ronald V. Clarke is University Professor at the School of Criminal Justice, Rutgers University, and is also Visiting Professor at the Jill Dando Institute. Dr. Clarke was employed for fifteen years in the Home Office Research and Planning Unit, where he had a significant role in the development of situational crime prevention and the British Crime Survey. He is the founding editor of Crime Prevention Studies and is author or joint author of 200 books, monographs and papers, including The Reasoning Criminal (Springer-Verlag, 1986), Situational Crime Prevention: Successful Case Studies (Harrow and Heston, 1997) Superhighway Robbery (Willan Publishing, 2003), Become a Problem Solving Crime Analyst (Jill Dando Institute, 2003) and Outsmarting the Terrorists (Praeger, In Press).
